The crosshead is the key part of the power end of the mud pump. It slides on the upper and lower guide plates, thus stimulating the intermediate pull rod to transfer the driving force to the hydraulic end. One end of it holds the middle pull rod. The cavity connects the small end of the connecting rod through the crosshead pin.
The crosshead is made of ductile iron with an extended strength of more than 600MPa to ensure high strength and wear resistance.
The difference between metric and imperial crossheads is the screw holes.
In order to ensure close contact, the contact area between the crosshead hole and the conical face of the crosshead pin should be greater than 75%

Product Features

* The crosshead slides in the upper and lower guide plates, pushing the extension rod to transfer the power to the fluid end. One end of the crosshead is fixed to the extension rod. The crosshead connects the small end of the connecting rod by the crosshead pin.

* Besides the F-500 mud pump that is cylindrical structure, upper and lower guide structures are used for other mud pumps so that the concentricity can be adjusted by adding space under the lower guide.

* The connection between the crosshead and the extension rod is made by using bolted flange. The rigid connection ensures the concentricity of the crosshead and the extension rod.
